Marea's Birth - San Diego Birth Photographer

June 25, 2016  •  1 Comment

Jennie had been waiting at least three weeks or so for her daily prodromal labor to turn into real labor. Seems baby would test the day a bit, then decide it just wasn't her birth day yet. But on the morning of 2016's summer solstice AND strawberry full moon, Marea decided that yep, today feels just right.

Lots of stops and starts, but Troy kept Jennie laughing in between (this is why it's important to marry someone who makes you laugh!) When active labor set in, Marea came quickly and fiercely in the water at Tree of Life for Healthy Birthing and Parenting Birth Center. Letting out sporadic but very strong, determined cries, Marea mostly blinked her blue eyes and looked at mom and dad with such alertness and wisdom. I hear her three big sisters are just over the (strawberry) moon with their littlest sibling. Congratulations Aguilera family!

And because I enjoy taking a full family photo, I went back three days later and took one full family shot. Can you believe these four beautiful girls??
